Pupils in my friend's history class seemed always misinterpret certain events, unintentionally or otherwise. But this is the most hilarious: On an essay, one student said that realizing he was about to be killed, Julius Caesar tried to delay Brutus by postponing their lunch appointment by saying, "AT TWO, BRUTUS?"
